Winter Light Sessions 2026

Winter Light Sessions 2026 — Boundaries, Consent, Release & Renewal
(plus one cooking class!)
The Winter Light Sessions are back! Four days woven through the heart of winter.
Join me for a group journey in which we’ll share practices, winter walks, beautiful home-cooked healing meals, and somatic exercises that invite us to go a little deeper than we usually dare.
As one year comes to a close and another begins, we’ll use this natural threshold to explore boundaries, closure, and the deeper meaning of true consent. In order to give a wholehearted yes in life, we also need to have access to a genuine no, which we own and can truly hold. And yet, how often do we find ourselves saying yes when something in us is quietly disagreeing? Perhaps we want to please and prioritise the needs of the other. Perhaps we haven’t quite listened to ourselves. There are so many ways in which we can move away from ourselves without even noticing.
Together, through EFT and gentle somatic practices, we’ll explore what happens when we begin to listen more closely. To notice the subtle signals of the body, that helps us recognise where we override our deeper truth. Together, through EFT tapping on the body’s meridian points, and through gentle somatic practices, we’ll explore what happens when we begin to listen in more closely.
But most of all, these Winter Light Sessions are about community. About sharing the winter months in good company. About gathering around a table, walking together through the winter landscape, sharing what is alive for us, and discovering that there is something deeply healing about being witnessed and supported by others. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, winter belongs to the Water element- which governs the kidneys and the reserves of the vital energy we carry within us. Winter invites us to conserve, listen inward and to protect what is precious- this is what we’ll do.
There will be space to reflect, to rest and laugh, to eat well and tap, to walk, and simply to be together. A place to pause, to reconnect with yourself, and to remember that whatever you are moving through, you don’t have to move through it alone.
What we’ll do together
Each day runs from 10:00 to 17:00. We’ll have group sharings, coaching, EFT and somatic exercises, a delicious home-cooked lunch, and — weather and mood permitting — an afternoon walk through the forest. Each day will end with a closing practice, giving us time to integrate what has moved and to gather it back into the circle. And on the second workshop day, by popular request, we’ll also cook together: a hands-on cooking class where we prepare a delicious seasonal vegan meal to share.
The four days
28th November — Boundaries & True Consent
What does a true yes feel like? And how can you better recognise and feel in the body, when you disagree? How to become aware of it? How to dare expressing it? So many of us have learned, early in life to override our own signals. This day is an invitation to begin gently unlearning that — through feeling, exercises, EFT tapping, somatic exploration, and the support of the group. We’ll look at people-pleasing, self-abandonment, and the places where we may have stopped trusting ourselves. And we’ll begin to explore what becomes possible when we listen to the body before automatically saying yes. Step out of this day owning your decisions more firmly!
13th December — Letting Go & The Nourished Body (+Vegan cooking class)
Just before the year closes, we make space. We’ll use two of the most grounding things there are — tapping and cooking — to explore what we are still carrying, what we are ready to release, and what it means to truly nourish ourselves. The morning will be devoted to EFT tapping on the things that may still be asking for attention: old patterns, regrets, unfinished business, the difficulty of owning our “no”, or simply the weight of a year lived. Then we’ll come together in the kitchen to prepare our lunch as part of the session — a hands-on seasonal vegan cooking class.
In the afternoon, we’ll turn towards nourishment in a deeper sense: receiving care, allowing ourselves to be nourished. We’ll look at the relationship between self-worth and how we nourish ourselves, and the difference between what genuinely sustains us and what we have learned to consume out of habit. What are you still carrying that was never truly yours? And what would it feel like to put some of it down?
16th January — Inviting the New
Welcoming the New Year and honouring the depth of the winter, we’ ll explore the resistance, self-doubt and old stories that can keep us from moving towards what we long for in our life: the “not yet, not you, not possible… “. Through somatic work and gentle creative practice, we’ll make space for your voice and how can you take steps towards creating the life you want. Give your attention to in the year ahead, what kind of support will help you bring it into the world?
6th February — Coming Home: Belonging & Integration and Celebration!
The final day is about bringing it all together. After three days of exploring boundaries, release and renewal, we turn towards the place where all of this becomes possible: relationship. How do we stay connected to ourselves while remaining connected to others? How do we belong without abandoning ourselves? How can we receive support, and how can we offer it? We’ll revisit some of the practices and themes from our time together, noticing what has shifted, what has become clearer, and what we want to carry forward.
What’s included
All sessions are facilitated by me — Irene Nolte, holistic practitioner, EFT therapist, and author of A Healing Map. Seasonal meals are provided each day (I cook — people tend to love this part! :). We walk together in the countryside each afternoon. You leave each day with a recorded tapping sequence to continue the work at home. The group is small by design. This work asks for safety and intimacy, and that requires knowing everyone in the room.
There will be plenty of space for sharing, for listening, for walking, for eating together and for simply enjoying one another’s company. And perhaps most importantly, we’ll take time to celebrate the circle we’ve created. Healing and connection happens best in community!
